Uniformity is an important index to measure the quality of LED video display screen manufacturers. If the pixels and modules of LED display screen are not uniform, it will result in brilliant spots and brilliant pieces. Professional terms are “dust effect” and “mosaic phenomenon”.
The main causes of the uneven phenomenon of LED display are the inconsistency of various performance parameters of LED, the inadequate assembly accuracy of LED display in the process of production and installation, the inconsistency of electrical parameters of other electronic components, and the irregularity of module and PCB design. Among them, “the inconsistency of various performance parameters of LED” is the main reason. The inconsistency of these performance parameters mainly includes: inconsistency of light intensity, inconsistency of optical axis, inconsistency of color coordinates, inconsistency of light intensity distribution curves of primary colors and inconsistency of attenuation characteristics.
So, how to solve the inconsistency of performance parameters of LED rental display? At present, there are two main technical ways in the industry: one is to further subdivide the LED screen specifications and parameters to improve the consistency of the performance of the LED; the other is to improve the uniformity of the display screen through subsequent correction. Follow-up calibration has also developed from early module calibration and module calibration to today’s point-by-point calibration. Correction technology has developed from light intensity correction to light intensity coordinate correction. But follow-up correction is not omnipotent. Among them, the inconsistency of optical axis, intensity distribution curve, attenuation characteristics, assembly accuracy and design irregularity can not be eliminated by follow-up correction. Even this follow-up correction will make the inconsistency of optical axis, attenuation and assembly accuracy worse.
Through practice, we know that the follow-up correction is only for curing the table, while the subdivision of LED parameters is the root, and it is also the mainstream of the future development of the LED display industry.
