It is well known that there are two common driving modes of LED display screen: static scanning and dynamic scanning. Static scanning is divided into static real pixel and static virtual, and dynamic scanning is also divided into dynamic real image and dynamic virtual. At present, our drivers include domestic HC595, Taiwan MBI 5026, Toshiba TB62726, etc. They are divided into 1/2 scan, 1/4 scan, 1/8 scan, 1/16 scan and 1/32 scan.

1. Classification of scanning modes of LED display screen panel:

Scanning mode: In a certain display area, the ratio of the number of lines illuminated at the same time to the number of lines in the whole area.

1. Static scanning: Static scanning implements “point-to-point” control from the output of driving IC to the pixels. Static scanning does not need control circuit. The cost of static scanning is higher than that of dynamic scanning, but it has the advantages of good display effect, good stability, less loss of brightness and so on.

2. Dynamic scanning: Dynamic scanning implements “point-to-column” control from the output of driving IC to the pixels. Dynamic scanning needs control circuit. The cost of dynamic scanning is lower than static scanning, but the display effect is poor and the brightness loss is large.

2. Distinguishing by environment:

Indoor monochrome and bichrome scans are generally 1/16, indoor full-color screen scans are generally 1/8, outdoor monochrome and bichrome scans are generally 1/4, outdoor full-color scans are generally static.
